This article guides Super Admins or Panel Administrators on how to select and update the service categories allocated to a Supplier on an Enterprise Supplier List. You'll use this process to control the categories a supplier is associated with on a specific list, which dictates their area of service.
Prerequisites
To perform this task, you must be a Super Admin or a Panel Administrator.
Steps
Follow these steps to update a supplier's categories on an Enterprise Supplier List:
Navigate to Admin Tools and select Enterprise Supplier Lists. (This menu is available in the top menu bar or on the left-side of the homepage).
Locate the relevant list and click on the number displayed in the Suppliers column. This will take you to a list of all suppliers registered on that list.
Find the supplier you wish to update, click the blue arrow on the right, and select Categories.
-
You'll see a list of all categories linked to the Supplier List. Check or uncheck the categories you want to allocate to this supplier.
If Suppliers CANNOT manage their own categories on the list, the categories you select will be their final set of categories for this list.
If Suppliers CAN manage their own categories on the list, they will only be able to select from the categories you've allocated here.
Click the Update button to save your selections.
Results / Validation
The system will update the supplier's allocated categories on the list.
Limits & Notes
If any categories are listed in red as Excluded, this means the supplier has the ability to manage their own categories on the list and has actively chosen to deselect that category in their account.
You cannot select a category for a supplier if they have already excluded it themselves.
Troubleshooting
Cannot find the supplier in the list: Ensure you have selected the correct Enterprise Supplier List in Step 2.
A category is listed in red as 'Excluded': This indicates the supplier has actively chosen to remove this category from their account. You cannot select an Excluded category for the supplier.
