Send an Escalation

You can capture the details of an escalation within Information Request, Privacy Incidents, and Subpoenas. This article shows you how to log an escalation for review and tracking.

Prerequisites

  • This process is available within Information Request, Privacy Incidents, and Subpoenas.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the relevant item (Information Request, Privacy Incident, or Subpoena).

  2. Locate the escalation section within the item.

  3. Specify the recipient of the escalation, such as the Ombudsman or Administrative Tribunal, or specify any other party.

    • Expected Result: The system displays a 'review' block based on the selected 'escalation type'.

  4. Enter the escalation details, including the description, notification dates, and decisions.

  5. Save the changes.

Results / Validation

The purpose of this feature is to capture all details associated with the escalation for tracking within the system.

  • Note: The escalations entered in the system do not trigger any external communications.

  • Escalations are available in:

    • Information Request

    • Privacy Incidents

    • Subpoenas

  • Recipients can be the Ombudsman or Administrative Tribunal, or any other specified party.

  • Different information will show in the 'review' block depending on the 'escalation type' selected.
