Add a Subpoena

This article guides you through the process of adding a new subpoena request in the system. You will record the request details, log responsible parties, capture financial information, and track the subpoena through its full workflow to delivery.

Prerequisites

  • You must have the appropriate role/permissions to access and raise Subpoenas.

Steps to Add a Subpoena

The process to add a Subpoena involves five main steps.

A. Access the Subpoenas Report Tile

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard.

  2. Locate the Subpoenas report tile.

    • If the tile is not visible: Click the Add Reports button at the bottom of the dashboard.

  3. Select the Subpoenas report from the list to view it.

    • Tip: To add the report tile permanently to your dashboard, press the star icon in the top right of the tile.

  4. Click Add Subpoena (or similar action) on the report tile.

B. Log Details

  1. Enter the details of the request in the relevant fields.

  2. Log any required number of responsible parties.

C. Log Finance Details

  1. Capture the financial information related to the subpoena in the Finance section.

D. Validation

  1. Complete the basic validation checklist for the subpoena.

E. Log Outcome and Delivery

  1. Log the outcome of the Subpoena in the Outcome section.

  2. In the Delivery to Court section, capture the details of the subpoena having been sent to court.

Results / Validation

  • The new subpoena will appear in the Subpoenas report list.
