This article provides the steps for a Super Admin or a Local Group Administrator to demote a user to the Buyer role.
When to use it: Use this procedure when you need to remove an administrator or manager role from a user.
Prerequisite
You must be a Super Admin to demote any user.
You must be a Local Group Administrator (who owns the Local Group) or a Super Admin to demote a Local Group Manager.
Demote a Local Group / Panel Administrator to a Buyer
This action can only be performed by a Super Admin. Before a Local Group Administrator or Panel Administrator can be demoted to a Buyer, they must not own any Local Groups or Panels, have had their Admin Roles removed, and be removed as a Global Response Selection Approver.
Steps
Transfer Ownership of Local Groups and Panels: Before proceeding, ensure the user does not own any Local Groups or Panels. You will need to transfer ownership before removing an Admin Role.
Remove Admin Roles: Remove both the Local Group Administrator and Panel Administrator roles from the user's profile.
-
Remove Global Response Selection Approver Rights:
Under Admin Tools in the menubar, select Global Settings.
Select Response selection approvers - GLOBAL.
Against the Approver, click the trash icon on the far right to remove them.
Navigate to Local Groups and Users under the Admin Tools menu.
Select to view the Admin/Managers in the Administrators Group.
Locate the user and click the blue arrow icon to the right. Select the Demote this user option.
If all pre-demotion checks are complete, you will be able to proceed. Select a Local Group from the drop-down box to transfer the user to, where they will be registered as a Buyer.
Click on the Demote button and confirm the action in the dialogue box.
Results / Validation
You'll receive a confirmation that the user has been transferred to the selected Local Group.
