You can adjust the initial value of an active contract before any approved variations or extensions are added. This is an administrative action that bypasses standard approvals.
Prerequisites
Role: Administrator.
Data: The contract must be active and must not have any approved variations or extensions.
Steps
Navigate to the contract you wish to modify.
Select the Settings tab.
Click the Change Contract Value drop-down.
Select Unlock.
Make the necessary changes to the initial contract value.
Select Confirm to save the new value.
Results / Validation
The initial contract value is immediately updated and reflected on the contract.
Limits & Notes
This action overwrites the contract value and bypasses approvals.
The initial contract value can only be changed while there are no approved variations or extensions on the contract.
Changing the initial value is not the same as raising a variation. Consult your internal processes if you are unsure which action to take.
