Set up Buyer Registration Approvals

  • Updated

This article provides step-by-step instructions for Super Admins or Local Group Administrators to enable manual approval for new Buyer registrations within a Local Group. This process allows you to regulate which users join your enterprise as Buyers. Once enabled, new Buyers in the Local Group must be approved before they can access supplier lists or create requests.

Prerequisites

  • Role: Super Admin or Local Group Administrator.

  • Buyer Approvals must be enabled at an enterprise level. Contact your Customer Success Manager or Support Team to arrange this.

Steps to Enable Buyer Registration Approval

To enable manual approval for new Buyer registrations in a Local Group:

  1. Select Local Groups and Users under the Admin Tools menu (either in the top menubar or on the homepage on the left-side menu).
    Select Local Groups and Users.png

  2. Against the required list, click the three vertical dots and select Edit local group.

  3. Under the User Settings section, change the 'Do users have to be manually approved to register into this Local Group?' setting to Yes - Manually approved.

  4. Decide what type of registration you want to approve (Invited or Self-Registered). You can select both options so both types of registrations require approval.

  5. Click on the Save button at the bottom of the page.

Results / Validation

Once saved, any new Buyers in the Local Group will be required to be manually approved before they can view supplier lists and create requests. While waiting for approval, the Buyer will see a notification in their account.

Limits & Notes

  • If a Buyer is invited to register, the approval is done by the person who sent the invite (Local Group Manager; Local Group Administrator; or Super Admin).

  • Buyers who register via the self-registration link are approved by the owner of the Local Group (Local Group Administrator; or Super Admin).

  • Buyers who have not been approved cannot access supplier lists, create requests or tenders, or access any related information or documents.
