This article outlines the steps for a Super Admin or Local Group Administrator to configure an email domain whitelist. This allows Buyers registering with a specific email domain (e.g., @organisation.com) to bypass the manual approval process. Whitelists can be set at the Enterprise level or the Local Group level, but not both.
Prerequisites
Role: Super Admin or Local Group Administrator.
Buyer Approvals must be enabled in the Local Group settings.
The configuration (Enterprise vs. Local Group) is managed in your enterprise settings.
Enterprise-Level Whitelist Configuration
This section is applicable only if the whitelist has been set at the Enterprise level. This is typically used for organisations with one or two email domains.
Hover over Admin Tools in the top menubar and select Global Settings.
Click the Global Buyer Approval Domain Whitelists link.
Enter the required email domain (e.g., "@email.com.au").
Ensure the Active checkbox is ticked and then click the Save button.
Note: Email domains already added can be made inactive or deleted from this page.
Local Group-Level Whitelist Configuration
This section is applicable only if the whitelist has been set at the Local Group level. This is typically used for organisations or associations with multiple email domains.
Select Local Groups and Users under the Admin Tools menu (either in the top menubar or on the homepage on the left-side menu).
Against the required list, click on the three vertical dots to bring up the options, and select Edit local group.
Go to the User Settings section and ensure that buyer approvals are turned on (set to Yes - Manually approved).
Under 'Local Group Email Domain Whitelist', click the create and manage link.
Enter the required email domain (e.g., "@email.com.au").
Ensure the Active checkbox is ticked (on the right) and then click the Save button.
Note: This process must be repeated for each Local Group that requires a whitelist.
Results / Validation
Buyers who self-register using an email address from a whitelisted domain will bypass the manual approval process.
When applied at the Enterprise level, the whitelisted domains can be disabled per Local Group within the Local Group settings.
Troubleshooting
Approval still required: Check that the Buyer Approvals setting is enabled for the specific Local Group.
Domain not working: Ensure the domain includes the '@' symbol (e.g., "@email.com.au") and that the Active checkbox is ticked.
