Enable External and Marketplace List Access on a Local Group

  • Updated

This article provides the step-by-step instructions for a Super Admin or Local Group Administrator to enable External List and Marketplace list access for a specific Local Group. By default, users in a newly created Local Group can only view and use internal supplier lists.

Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Select Local Groups and Users under the Admin Tools menu. This menu is located either in the top menubar or on the homepage on the left-side menu.

  2. Click on the three vertical dots to the right of the relevant local group, and then click on the Edit local group option.

  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the section labelled Local Group Panel Settings.

  4. Against the ‘Is Supplier List sharing enabled for this Local Group?’ setting, select Yes. Selecting Yes will make another setting appear below.

  5. Against the ‘Can this local group access shared panels from others?’ setting, select Yes. Selecting Yes will make more settings appear below.

    • External Lists are supplier lists managed by other organisations that have granted your organisation access to use them for your requests.

    • The Marketplace is a set of open lists, managed by VendorPanel - a Unimarket Company, that suppliers can self-register on, and which can be used for Requests and/or Public Tenders.

  6. Configure the specific External and Marketplace access settings that now appear (see the table below for descriptions).

  7. Click on Save at the bottom when finished.
