The Buyer's Decision on a Supplier's Response

After a Request or Tender closes, this article explains where and how Suppliers can find the Buyer's decision regarding their submission and any related feedback or next steps.

Prerequisites

  • You must be a Supplier who has submitted a response to a Request or Tender.

  • The Request or Tender must be closed and the Buyer must have submitted their decision.

Steps

Follow these steps to check the decision and view feedback or next steps:

  1. Navigate to My Responses

    • Click the My Responses tab on the menubar to find the closed Request or Tender and your response.

  2. View the Decision

    • Once the Buyer submits their decision, your response will be moved from the Pending decision section of My Responses to either the Successful or Unsuccessful sections.

  3. Check for Buyer Feedback/Next Steps (Successful Responses)

    • If your response is Successful, look to the right of the response for the What now? link.

    • Click What now? to view any comments left by the Buyer and their contact details for further discussion.

  4. Check for Buyer Feedback (Declined Responses)

    • If your response is Unsuccessful, look to the right of the response for the Why? button.

    • Click Why? to view any feedback that the Buyer has left.

Results / Validation

You have successfully located the Buyer's decision and viewed any corresponding feedback or next steps in your account.

  • Check the Expected Decision Date: Buyers set an Expected Decision Date when creating a Request or Tender. Suppliers can check this date by viewing the Request/Tender details (by clicking the magnifying glass icon).
