Pre-Market Approvals is a functionality that requires a Local Group Manager or Administrator to review and approve or decline a Buyer's Request (RFx) before it can be posted to Suppliers. This process ensures compliance with pre-defined RFx values or custom thresholds set by an Administrator.
Prerequisites
Buyers: Users who create and submit RFxs.
-
Local Group Managers and Administrators: Users responsible for approving or declining a Buyer's RFx request.
Administrators set the approval requirements based on selected RFx values for specific Local Groups or set custom thresholds for specific Buyers.
Administrators/Managers must approve or decline requests when a Buyer selects an RFx Value that requires approval.
Key Ideas
Setting up Approvals: Administrators set the Pre-Market Approval requirements and who manages specific Buyers. Instructions on activation are located in the Activating Pre-Market Request Approvals article.
-
Approval Options for Administrator/Manager: An Administrator or Manager has the following options when reviewing a pending request:
Approve the Request.
Approve the Request, but if it is subsequently edited, approval is required again.
Decline the Request.
Declining a Request: If a Request is declined, the Administrator must provide a reason in a free-text field. This reason is then relayed to the Buyer who created the request.
-
Buyer Experience:
A Buyer is notified that their Request requires approval after going through the Request Wizard.
The Request appears on the Buyer's dashboard under My Requests with a status of Pending approval.
Hovering over Pending approval shows which Administrator/Manager has been notified to review the request.
