Manage Contract Registers

  • Updated

This article explains where you can find and configure the various sets of contract registers. Contract registers are organised into functional areas like Legal, Tracking, and Payments, and can be configured globally, by contract type, or for individual contracts.

Prerequisites

  • You must have the appropriate Admin role to access module settings for toggling registers across the system or populating registers based on contract type.

  • You must be able to edit a specific contract record to toggle registers per contract.

Steps: Toggle Contract Registers Across the System (Global Setting)

Follow these steps to configure which register sets are available across the entire system.

  1. Navigate to Contracts Module > Manage module > General > Contract Registers.

  2. Toggle the contract registers between function areas (Legal, Tracking, Payments) as needed for overall contracts.

Steps: Populate Registers Based on Contract Type

Follow these steps to tailor register sets for different kinds of contracts.

  1. Navigate to Lists > Contract Types.

  2. Select the desired contract type.

  3. Tailor the register sets that different types of contracts may need.

Steps: Toggle Registers Per Contract (Individual Contract Setting)

Follow these steps to manage the registers for a specific contract record.

  1. Open the desired contract record.

  2. Click the Settings tab.

  3. Go to the Manage Registers block.

    • Note: By default, the register set will be enabled based on the contract type of the contract record.

  4. To change the settings, you can either:

    • Use the recommended settings, OR

    • Manually select the registers you want to use.

Results / Validation

After performing the steps above, the active contract will display the register sets as configured at the system, contract type, or individual contract level.

Limits & Notes

  • Register set availability is subject to the setup done for a particular type of contract or for overall contracts.

  • Changes made at the individual contract level (via the Settings tab) override the settings configured based on Contract Type
