A Practice Request allows you to familiarise yourself with the Request Wizard for Quotes and Tenders without sending anything to a Supplier. Use it to test the functionality and practice the evaluation process.
Prerequisites
- You must have the Buyer role.
Steps
- Hover over My requests in the menubar.
- Select Create a practice request.

Result: The Request Wizard opens. You will see a "(This is a practice request!)" notification.

- Walk through each step of the Request Wizard, configuring the settings as desired.
- Click Save and Continue or Update and Continue at the bottom of the page to advance to the next step.
- On the final Save & Post step, click Post it!.
- Result: The practice RFx is instantly created and closed, and example Supplier responses are generated.
Results / Validation
To view the example Supplier responses for evaluation, click the green people icon to the right of the Request.

Limits & Notes
- A Practice Request will automatically close upon posting and cannot be edited or reopened. A real RFx allows editing once open.
- If you choose Save as draft, you can edit or complete it later by clicking the blue 'Finish?' link or the three vertical dots (...) to the right, then selecting 'Complete this request'.
Troubleshooting

Issue: The "(This is a practice request!)" notification is not visible.
- Fix: You are creating a real RFx and should Save as draft or navigate away from the page unless you intend to send it to Suppliers.
