Edit User Access and Permissions in CORE Modules

This article provides Administrators with the step-by-step instructions for editing the access and permissions of existing users within the CORE modules. You will use the Control Panel to manage a user's details, which determines their access, permissions, and inclusion in approval routes.

Prerequisites

You must be an Administrator to access the Control Panel and manage user profiles.

Access the Control Panel

  1. Click the cog icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
  2. Select Security > Users and Groups from the menu on the left.
    • Result: This area allows you to create and manage user profiles.

Edit User Details

  1. Locate the user by filtering for their Display Name (name) or Role name (email address).
  2. Click Edit to the right of the user's name.
  3. Enter or update the information in the available fields based on the required user details below.

Field Input When is this input required?
User Name User's email Always
Display Name User's first & last name Always
Email User's email Always (Ensures the user receives system notifications.)
Supervisor Supervisor's email Only if a user's supervisor is referenced for approvals.
Financial Approval Limit Approval limit excluding GST Only if a user's individual financial limit is referenced for approvals.
Department User's department Always (Ensures the user can view records within their department, applicable for Plans and Contracts only, not Evaluations.)
Position User's position Only if a user's position is referenced for approvals.
Enabled? Yes Always
Member Of Groups GTM SSO Users Always (Ensures the user can access Home, Procurement Planning, Advanced Evaluations and/or Contract Management.)

Edit Role Name (if needed)

If a user's role name needs to be updated:

  1. From the search view, click on the user and select Rename.
  2. Enter the new role name.
  3. Click the Rename button.

Important: The Role name entered in the Control Panel must be in all lowercase and must match the email the user is registered with in Go to Market.

Results / Validation

The details entered in the user's profile in the Control Panel immediately determine their access, permissions, and inclusion in any approval routes.
